What we're seeing
At PS 42 OCCUPATIONAL TRAINING CENTER, the student:teacher ratio has risen 43% over the 5-year window — from 5.4:1 in 2020 to 7.7:1 in 2024. The gap vs US average of 15.4:1 has narrowed — from 10.0:1 below in 2020 to 7.7:1 below in 2024.
